Josh Lambert SP Survey response with images

What resonates to you?
The climaxes of the tracks. When it's at its high and drives on that for awhile. The more upbeat, rhythmic, almost rave (dance) sounds.

Who does this sound like?
Reminds me (not only SonarPilot, but most ambient music) of this futuristic race-car video game I used to play when I was a kid. So, video game music.

What would you call or name this music, what genre does it fit into?
Ambient. Electronic. Progressive.

Which track (or part of track) do you specifically like?
  • Lava - 2:30 (crystal sounds) like the slow progression to 3:30 (more up beat. Nice!) more layers at 4:20 (right now sound great). Defiantly feels like some type of journey, flying. 5:38 (reminds me of water. like the drums) 6:09 is my fav! I like how earthy it starts to sound at 7:20 (tribal like, rusty, around a volcano, the snare drum is industrial sounding)
  • Twilight - I LOVE THE BEGINNING OF THIS SONG! (the slow progression up to 1:25 sounds like some shit is about to go down. at 1:25 is awesome. slow speed with deep bass. At 9:54 is when this sounds the best, lots of layers working together/against each other) 4:45 very nice reverb, echoey sounds with that steady driven bass drum.
  • Planet Pop - Makes me want to make some electronic music. I think the beginning is too slow before it starts to get into what planet pop is - I think the beginning could be cut in half. I think the song has an overall nice sound.

Which track / (part of track) is not your cup of tea & why?
San Jacinto Mountains - it draws out too long for me. Actually, most of this music is too long and spacey for me. I can't stick with it too long. I always want it to build up to this crazy rave sounding music.

So, to answer the last question - when/where would you listen to this music? It would be when working on design work/homework, doing some type of activity where I can just space out and not have anything distracting.
Any visuals that come to your mind when listening to the music / specific tracks?
Flying, space, water, foreign places, falling, nova, stars, missions, crystals, cool/dark places, not too many people around, mainly lands and abstractness, black, blues, yellows/oranges, browns, silver, white, gray, greens, magenta, cyan.
